Sriracha litreally means, the Sauce of the Glorious Ruler! (though it technically just means sauce from a town called Si Racha). Sriracha chillies are about as hot as Tabasco (scoring about 2200 on the Scoville scale to Tabascos score of 2500). Sriracha is a type of hot sauce which is made from a paste of sun ripen chillies which are ground into a smooth paste along with distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt and packaged in a convenient squeeze bottle. For making Meishi Sriracha we have used only the highest quality ingredients and never any artificial colours or flavourings. Sriracha sauce is often served as a condiment in Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese restaurants enhance the flavour of soup noodles, fried noodles and a dip for fried foods. But with explosive popularity over the last few years, Sriracha is being used for a wide range of dishes, from a go-to all-purpose dip, to a punchy chicken wing marinade and more recently a cocktail ingredient.
